Friday's unconference and Saturday's conference will be hosted by Università degli Studi di Firenze, at Centro Didattico Morgagni, viale Giovanni Battista Morgagni, 40-44.

How to get to #IAD24 - November 8 and 9

#IAD24 will be hosted by the University of Florence at the Centro Didattico Morgagni on Viale Giovanni Battista Morgagni 40-44, Florence. Below are instructions on how to reach the venue by car and public transport.

By Car

We strongly recommend using park-and-ride facilities, which offer discounted rates and are connected to the Florence tram system.

If you park at the Guidoni T2 park-and-ride (map, website), you can reach the event via tram lines T2 and T1 (route).

For those using the Villa Costanza park-and-ride (map, official website), accessible directly from the A1 motorway, the venue can be reached via tram line T1 (route).

You can drive directly to the venue. However, you may experience delays and have difficulty finding parking. Florence has parking spaces marked with yellow lines for residents (in some areas these may be white) and blue lines for paid hourly parking.

By Train

If you arrive at Firenze S.M.N. (Santa Maria Novella) railway station, you can reach the event directly by taking tram line T1. (route).

How to Buy Tram Tickets

Tram tickets are valid for 90 minutes and can be purchased as follows:

On board, by tapping your credit, debit, prepaid card, smartphone, or wearable on the contactless reader (you won’t be charged multiple times if still within the original 90-minute period).

Via the AT-BUS and TABNET apps.

By SMS: Send a message to 4880105 with the text “Firenze”. Wait for the confirmation message before boarding the tram (available for Tim, Vodafone, and Wind operators only).

Via the ticket machines at tram stops.
